Tweet World Travel – Safety Net Protection Policy

Purchase Conditions

Safety Net Protection:

• must be added at the same time as booking confirmation
• must be paid at the same time as the deposit
• must be purchased by all passengers included in the booking
• is non-refundable and non-cancellable
• can only be used one time
• is non-transferable

Important Notes

• Safety Net Protection must be purchased at the time of booking and cannot be added later
• Standard Terms & Conditions apply in conjunction with this policy
• Travel insurance remains highly recommended for comprehensive protection

Coverage Options & Pricing

The Safety Net Protection is available for purchase at the time of booking:

• Tweet Small Group Tours: AUD $250 per adult, $150 per child*
• Tweet Packages: AUD $255 per adult, $155 per child*

Please note that this is a non-refundable fee and must be added at the time of deposit or booking confirmation.

*Child rates apply to ages 2–12 years. Infants under 2 years travel free of charge and are covered under their parents.

The price above applies only to the original booking (referred to as the first segment). Any additional services added after the booking has been confirmed and payment has been made will be treated as a separate segment and will not be covered under the original Safety Net Protection.

To cover any additional services, a new Safety Net Protection must be purchased for the added segment.

 Benefits of Safety Net Protection

When purchasing Safety Net Protection, clients are entitled to the following benefits:

1. Cancellation Flexibility

Clients may cancel their booking for any reason up to 30 days prior to departure and receive:

• A 100% credit of the land tour/package value (excluding Safety Net fee, Visas, flights, insurance, and Third-party supplier fees not controlled by Tweet World Travel)
• Credit is valid for 24 months from the original departure date

2. Date Change Flexibility

Clients may request to change their departure date (subject to availability):

• Changes permitted up to 30 days prior to departure
• No amendment fee or admin fees charged by Tweet World Travel
• Any price difference will apply
• Travel date changes can be made up to 24 months from the Safety Net activation date (e.g., if the change request is made on 26 March 2026, the travel date can be changed until 26 March 2028).

3. Name Change

• One free name change permitted per booking up to 30 days prior to departure
• Additional name changes may incur administrative fees

4. Protection Against Unexpected Events

If a client is unable to travel due to:

• Medical reasons (with valid documentation)
• Family emergencies
• Other unforeseen circumstances

The client may receive a future travel credit under the same conditions as cancellation flexibility.

Pricing Adjustments

• Any price difference for the new departure date will be applied to the new booking.
• If the new booking is at a higher price, the customer must pay the difference.
• If the new booking is at a lower price, a credit will be issued.
• Any credit issued may be used on all Tweet Small Group Tours or Packages within 24 months from the date of issue. If the credit is not used within this period, it will become invalid.

Exclusions

Safety Net Protection does not cover:

• Airfares
• Travel insurance (strongly recommended separately)
• Visa fees, vaccinations, or personal expenses
• Third-party supplier fees not controlled by Tweet World Travel
• No-shows or cancellations made within 30 days of departure

Conditions of Credit Use

• Credit must be used within 24 months
• Applicable to any Tweet World Travel product (subject to availability)
• Non-transferable unless approved under name change conditions
• Cannot be redeemed for cash

Conditions of Rebooking

When Safety Net Protection is applied:

• the original booking will be cancelled
• a new booking will be created
• the new booking will be subject to the general terms and conditions of sale in effect on the date of the new booking

It will not be possible to purchase a new Safety Net Protection on the replacement booking created through the use of the original Safety Net Protection.

Activation of Cover

Safety Net Protection becomes effective only once the deposit or full payment for the booking has been received.
